TL;DR: We strongly believe in a frictionless, privacy-first learning environment. To provide features like Global Leaderboards and cross-device progress tracking, we allow secure login via Google. We strictly only store your email address and practice scores on our secure servers. For advanced tools like the Mock Tracker, we use your personal Google Drive to store your heavy data (images/questions). We never sell or share your information.

Your privacy is our priority. Our data collection is strictly limited to what is necessary to enhance your preparation:

  • Account Information (Google Login): To participate in Daily Challenges, view your consistency streaks, and appear on Global Leaderboards, you can securely log in using your Google account via Firebase Authentication. We securely store only your email address, display name, and profile picture. We do NOT collect phone numbers, addresses, or any other sensitive personal data.
  • Practice & Performance Statistics: We record your calculation tool practice data (such as daily test scores, time taken, accuracy, and the number of days you have visited the platform). This is exclusively used to generate leaderboards, analyze your weak areas, and display your progress.
  • Anonymous Analytics: We utilize standard analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) to understand general website traffic and identify which tools are most popular. This data is entirely aggregated and cannot be used to identify you personally.

💾 2. Cloud & Local Data Storage

To provide a seamless experience across all your devices, your performance data is handled with strict security:

Cloud Storage for Leaderboards: When you are logged in via Google, your practice scores, daily streaks, and platform activity are securely synced to our Firebase database. Your email serves strictly as a secure identifier to link you to your hard-earned scores on the leaderboards.

Local Storage: For users who utilize specific tools without logging in, or for our offline-capable tools like the Mock Dashboard, we utilize your browser's native Local Storage mechanism. This data remains on your physical device to ensure lightning-fast loading speeds.

☁️ 3. Google Drive Integration (Mock Tracker)

For advanced tools like our Mock Analytics Dashboard, we use your personal Google Drive so that you retain 100% control over your heavy data. Preventing data loss is our utmost priority.

How it works: Data—specifically your scorecard screenshots, custom question images, and deep-dive analysis text—is stored securely in an "InspectorsPrep Mock Data" folder on your Google Drive. This website can only access files it creates itself. We do not have permission or ability to access your personal photos, documents, or any other unrelated files within your Drive.

🍪 4. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We use essential cookies and similar tracking technologies (like browser Local Storage and Session Storage) to keep you logged in securely via Firebase and to save your preferences. These are strictly "functional" requirements designed to enhance your user experience, so you don't have to repeatedly log in or lose your unsaved mock test data.

You have full control over your data:

  • Google Drive Data: Because your Mock Tracker images and JSON data are stored in your own Google Drive, you can permanently delete them at any time by simply deleting the "InspectorsPrep Mock Data" folder from your Google account.
  • Account Deletion: If you wish to have your email and leaderboard scores completely wiped from our Firebase servers, you can request an account deletion by contacting us at the email provided below. We will erase your records within 7 business days.

⚖️ 6. Legal Disclosure & Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties, marketing agencies, or ad networks.

We will only share your information if reasonably necessary to comply with a legal obligation, regulation, or valid request from law enforcement authorities in India.

We utilize industry-standard web security protocols (HTTPS) and Google-backed Firebase Authentication to ensure that your connection to our website and your login data is always encrypted and secure.

🎓 8. Children's Privacy

Our platform is designed specifically for competitive exam aspirants (such as SSC CGL), who are generally 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
